Faculty of Information Technology was established to produce knowledgeable, high skilled and competitive graduates within the sphere of software engineering, Information Technology, Computer Graphics & Multimedia. The faculty is currently among the competitive based IT programme in Malaysia for its quality of education, soft skills and technology based skills.

The faculty has come a long way since its inception. Faculty of IT has gone from strength to strength and you students can be proud that the qualification that they are going to have is of the highest quality. All the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by the faculty have been carefully designed to prepare graduates to meet rigorous demands of the national and international job market, especially in highly specialised areas.

All programmes are fully accredited from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) emphasized strong integration between theory and practice. As a firm believer of lifelong continuing education, the faculty hope that student would internalise and live by the quote “don’t go through life, grow through life”. Programme Description

This diploma is designed by building a strong IT development, communications and problem solving skills. This programme aims to produce professional technicians equipped with the right mix of conceptual and practical competencies to support the fast developing ICT sector. Students will develop skills required for integrated databases, systems, networks and communication technology within a business context. It also reflects the blend of business, technical and interpersonal skills needed in modern IT and telecoms professional roles.

 

Entry Requirements

• Passed Siji Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/ Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Vokasional (SPMV)/O-Level with a minimum credit in three (3) subjects including Mathematics; OR

• Passed Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent with a pass in one (1) subject and a credit in Mathematics in SPM or equivalent; OR

• Passed STAM with a Jayyid in one (1) subject and a credit in Mathematics in SPM or equivalent; OR

• Passed Certificate (Level 3 MQF) in any related field from a Higher Learning Institute that is recognized by the Malaysian Government with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR

• Passed Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 in related field that is recognized or equivalent; AND
- Passed SPM with minimum one (1) credit
- Continued studies until Diploma level in the same field; AND
