Guest speaker Tuan Maharidzwan Mahadzir, City University Malaysia faculty members, and over 170 students after the keynote session on White Collar Crimes held at the Multipurpose Hall, Cyberjaya Campus.
Cyberjaya, 15 April 2025 – A total of 173 students from City University Malaysia Cyberjaya, including 124 international students from 64 countries, gathered at the Multipurpose Hall (MPH) for a powerful and eye-opening session on White Collar Crimes and corruption awareness in higher education.
Organized by the Integrity and Anti-Corruption (KIAR) class of the 202501 under the Centre for Language Studies, this initiative was part of a continuous effort to instil values of integrity and accountability among future professionals.

The event featured a keynote speech by Tuan Maharidzwan Mahadzir, Superintendent from the Education Branch at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Headquarters in Putrajaya. With his extensive experience in corruption prevention and education, Tuan Maharidzwan captivated the audience with real-life cases, legal insights, and the importance of recognizing subtle but dangerous ethical compromises in workplace settings.

The session opened with welcoming remarks from Associate Professor Norman Chu, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Operations), and Ts. Asma Zubaida Mohamed Ibrahim, Head of Academic. Both expressed the university’s strong commitment to nurturing ethically responsible graduates ready to take on global challenges.

Students exploring a series of infographic displays and anti-corruption posters curated by their peers, highlighting key issues related to white collar crimes, ethics, and governance.
To enrich the experience further, students had the opportunity to explore interactive exhibition booths and infographic displays set up just outside the hall. These booths, designed and curated by the students themselves, highlighted key facts, statistics, and creative interpretations of anti-corruption themes, offering a visually engaging way to understand the seriousness of white-collar crimes.

Also featured was an anti-corruption information booth by MACC’s Publicity and Community Education Branch (PENMAS), providing information on corruption offences, reporting procedures, and student awareness materials. A gallery of student-designed posters promoting integrity and transparency was also on display.
