Bachelor of Education (Hons) in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL)
The programme aims to produce eloquent professionals in English who are well-versed with issues in TESL, exposed to the most effective current methods and technologies in the field of Second Language Acquisition (SLA), and to produce graduates with leadership skills and a committed sense of social responsibility. The graduates are also exposed to linguistics, literature and pedagogy as well as a foreign language such as Mandarin or French. A compulsory practicum in government aided schools around Petaling Jaya is required in order to graduate

Entry Requirement
- Passed STPM / A-Level with full pass in 2 subjects with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; or
- Passed the Matriculation / Foundation Program Certificate in the relevant field from any recognized PPT with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; or
- A Diploma from PPT accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education or Government of Malaysia with a CGPA of at least 2.00; or
- Passed International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum score of 24; or
- Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian government. AND earn B in English subject at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level.
Additional Requirement for International Students - English
- For international students: IELTS 7.0 / CEFR B1 or equivalent TOEFL PBT (590) or TOEFL IBT (79) or CAE (160) (Cambridge English: Advance) / CEFR B2 or CPE (180) (Cambridge English: Proficiency) / CEFR C1 or PTE (Pearson Test of English) (65) or MUET (Malaysian University English Test) (Band 4)
