On 28th of May 2020, City University Malaysia signed Online Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages (SSIFL), Uzbekistan to further strengthen the collaboration between the two respective higher education institutions.

The MoU was signed by Professor Dr. James Nga Chin Lik, the Principal and DVC of CITY-U, which was accompanied by The Director of International Collaboration, Associate Professor Dr. Gamal S. A. Khalifa; and Ms. Sara Oshagi Lashkariani, the Head of International Marketing.

On the other hand, Prof Dr. Tukhtasinov Ilkhom Madaminovich, the Reactor of SSIFL was accompanied by the honourable vice rector for academic affairs of Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages Prof Dr.Ruzikulov  Fazliddin  Shukurovich;  and the head of joint degrees, Mr. Khalmuhammad. The signing of this MoU and Exchange Agreement between the two institutions symbolizes a strong and unwavering partnership which creates an impenetrable bond and joint research initiatives that produces new synergies and enhance educational value by leaps and bounds for both CITY-U and SSIFL in the years ahead. Thus, the memorandum formally acknowledges CITY-U and SSIFL’s intentions to collaborate in student exchange program, Franchise/dual programs and academic publication exchange.
