City University Malaysia played a pivotal role in the event by sending students from the Faculty of Architecture and Built Environment (FOABE), Faculty of Creative Industry (FOCI), and Faculty of Allied Health & Sciences (FOAHS). These students showcased their talents and environmental awareness by creating two impressive murals for the initiative. The murals vividly depicted the transformative journey from waste to wealth, symbolising the potential for discarded materials to be repurposed into valuable and beautiful creations. Their artwork served as an inspiring visual reminder of the importance of creativity and innovation in addressing environmental issues.
The launch of the Waste-To-Wealth, 1C1R program in Taman Ikan Emas was a testament to the power of community involvement and innovative solutions in addressing environmental challenges. The presence of Dr. Zaliha Mustafa and Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail underscored the significance of the initiative, while the contributions from City University Malaysia’s students exemplified the role of educational institutions in fostering sustainable practices.
