Came with a passion for special effect makeup, Ibrahim Mohamed Khamis Haskoor, is now pursuing Bachelor of Civil Engineering in CITYU. Born on the 25th June 2000 in Cairo in Egypt, Haskoor came to Malaysia with a talent that started off with an interest that slowly turned into a fiery passion that led him to pursue a career in the field of special effects for makeup artists.

Mr. Haskoor says that he loves watching action and horror movies since he was a little kid. His love for action and horror movies has helped him spark a unique sense of curiosity on how to make changes in the character's face and body that is not only powerful and believable but also effective and vivid in terms of imagery. The curiosity made him read and does extensive research on the production of the characters and how they used makeup to bring such great changes to the character. In the year 2016, he decided to pursue special effect makeup artist.

Every passion needs a little nudge in the right direction. For Mr. Haskoor his little nudge was when he visited The Prestigious 6th of October City, which is an Egyptian Media Production City. At the early age of 16, back in 2016, he started working as a makeup artist assistant. His journey as a makeup artist continued as he began working as a makeup artist in 2018.

In the same year, he did his first project ever in a short film with the title 12am. Not only that, but he also he began working on a video clip song for Ahmed Maki (Deerhorn). The next year, in 2019, he worked in a Ramadan Series. Aside from working on short movies and series, he also did some work as a freelancer in an event like Halloween and parties.

Mr. Haskoor is currently studying and working in Malaysia. When he was asked how Malaysia is, he gladly told us that Malaysia is an amazing country. One of the things in Malaysia that attracts his attention is the harmony that exists among various cultures and the variety of food choices that are not only delicious but unbelievably scrumptious. He also stated that he feels like home in Malaysia because of its secureness. For the time being, he is working on a short film project which is expected it to be completed by the end of this year.

Not only has he chosen to study and work in Malaysia, but he has also chosen City University as a platform for his self-development and the enhancement of his skills. One of the reasons why he chose to become a student at City University is because City University is a well-known university in Egypt. The location of the university, which is in the city of Petaling Jaya, is also perfect for him. Since it is in a city area and a lot of accommodation can be found nearby. He also chose City University because it offers a scholarship to students who wanted to enroll in the university.
