Osama is a dedicated PhD student in Sports Studies at City University Malaysia and a professional superbike rider with his own team – Osama 44 Racing.

Our students recently had the incredible opportunity to support Osama Mareai in Round 1 of the Malaysia Superbike Championship 2025 at the iconic PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit!
In last Sunday’s race, Osama delivered an impressive performance, starting at 7th and finishing 5th in Race 1 among fierce competition.

Students also had the rare opportunity to visit the Osama 44 team’s racing pit, see the superbikes up close, and even meet Osama himself! The superbike rider shared his gripping racing stories with them and even revved the bikes to the delight of the crowd.
To cap off the meeting, Osama had an inspiring message for City U students: “Whatever you wanna be successful in, you need a lot of commitment, and you need to put your focus into it, no distractions. Working hard is the key to being the Champion you’re meant to be.”

Congratulations to Osama for his outstanding performance, and a heartfelt thank you to our City U students for cheering on a fellow student with such enthusiasm and pride!
