Through this mobility program, the OSH Department has taken an initial step in building an understanding with Universitas Airlangga to collaborate and take advantage of the potential of good relations in the fields of academic, research, innovation, and commercial in the future.
Throughout the program, participants were taken to visit the Universitas Airlangga campuses, UNAIR hospitals, and health institutions in the framework of academic collaboration as well as visiting historic locations, houses of worship, culinary, and also some attractions around Surabaya, Indonesia. Through this program, the students had a chance to visit Mount Bromo, the iconic mountain of Surabaya. The midnight trip to Mount Bromo to witness the sunrise in the early morning creates wonderful experiences and memories. Our students also visited PT Pelindo Port for the industrial visit.
OSH Department was proud to engage with Universitas Airlangga for the guest lecturer session during this International Collaboration Week. Mr.Nanthakumar TamilSelvam, the Head of the OSH Department delivered a lecture on the topic “Application of Statistics in Occupational Safety and Health”. Together with this Miss Hanizah Ariffin, the lecturer from the OSH Department also delivered a lecture on the topic “Industrial Waste Management”.
During the program, many activities involving students have been conducted such as lectures, demonstrations, and cultural exchange performances.
It is hoped that this program can benefit all parties involved and further build corporate and professional relationships between the two educational and research institutions.
