The exclusive fashion show competition, a highlight of ICoMTED, was a fusion of elegance, entertainment, and networking opportunities. Organised by Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), with City University Malaysia as a co-organizer, alongside Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember in Indonesia, Universitas Kristen Petra Indonesia, and PEREKA, the event showcased the dynamic spirit of the conference.
City University Malaysia’s Fashion Design students presented an exciting collection titled ‘THE CRIMSON.’ The Crimson, associated with richness and symbolising power and prestige, set the stage for a night of sophistication and innovation. The 16 designs, crafted by 12 talented students, promised to be a visual spectacle, highlighting the diverse backgrounds and creativity within the university.
The fashion show competition resulted in a triumphant sweep for City University Malaysia, with Iman Sofea binti Mohamed Fieruz securing the Gold medal. Her designs, a perfect blend of elegance and innovation, stood out among the entries. Kavin Chong Che Yuun claimed the Silver Medal, showcasing a harmonious mix of entertainment and sophistication in his creations. Ahmad Aiman Syahmi bin Ahmad Juhairi earned the Bronze medal, his designs a testament to the prestige associated with ‘THE CRIMSON.’
Out of the 12 participating students, nine received Honourable Participation, underscoring the depth of talent nurtured within City University Malaysia’s Fashion Design program.
The evening’s fusion of fashion and academia became a memorable aspect of ICoMTED, reflecting the university’s commitment to providing a platform for students to shine.
